CobraTec zinc alloy knives are purpose-built to be among the toughest high-quality automatic knives you can buy.
This
claim starts with the use of D2 steel blades as standard equipment.
They have a higher carbon content than the 440 stainless steel commonly
used, making them much stronger.
But,
it's more than just a tough blade. The handles are tough too. They are
made of zinc alloy, so they can take all the same abuse that the blade
can take.
Also,
everything on the inside is stainless steel. From the detents that
hold the blade inside and outside to the carrier, to the spring - all
stainless steel.
Additionally,
the glass break on the end is a steel ball bearing, instead of a
sharpened piece of metal that may blunt when you try to use it. The
ball bearing is excellent at breaking a car window for emergency escape
and/or rescue. We have that on the word of multiple first responders
who have used theirs in the field.
Also, the belt clip is steel. It holds it's shape and strength very well.
Lastly,
the switch is solid metal. Some are hollow. Some are even plastic.
With CobraTec the switch is solid metal. Far less likely to break if it
drops on the switch.
Every aspect of these knives are purpose-built to be the toughest automatic knives.
They
do of course carry a lifetime warranty, as you would expect from a
knife built in Texas to be the toughest. Best of all, they actually
stand behind the warranty, as you would expect from a Texas company. You
don’t have to jump through hoops to get them to stand behind their
products.
Nor will you have to wait a long time to get it back. They have a one day turn around policy.
As
of this writing, we ourselves have put 8,500 of these knives on the
street. We can attest to all of these claims, and we have tons of client
validation. It’s a great company. These are great knives.
Our number one phone call is, “showed my buddy my knife, he wants one too!”.
